To All My Single Ladies && Men

Single's Awareness Day is coming up.

You know? The one you wrote off as

"Doom's Day" on your calendar?

The one where you send yourself

chocolates && roses at work from

a "Secret Admirer"?

To the rest of the world,

that day is known as Valentine's Day.

But who cares about love,

extreme PDA, && candlelit dinners?
Fuck Valentine's Day && the lovers 

that wear red like idiots on it, right?

Wrong!
I never really gave a damn about Valentine's Day

whether I was single or w| someone.

When I was little, I thought that was a holiday for kids so we

can send candy grams to each other at school.

Little did Young Starrr know adults celebrate it.

I like being single but I can tell by a lot of blog posts,

tweets, texts, IMs, etc that a lot of my other single folks 

don't feel the same around this time of the year, which I get.

My message to you is not to be single && bitter,

especially on Valentine's Day.

Nobody's gonna want your ass if you're bitter.

Maybe that's why you're single? Who knows?
Maybe this Valentine's Day you can do

some self-reflection as to why you are single.

If you need/want to go out in public 

&& frolic w| the coupled up folks,

don't make the rest of us look bad.

Don't be a Valentine's Day hater!
Go ahead && order your Edible Arrangements

&& buy your tennis bracelet to show off

if you feel like you might hate.

Fight the urge! Get your hair && nails done, feel good.

But please, don't ruin anyone else's good time.
